Excellent Stay!


Our stay was absolutely amazing. The owners, Niels and Margaret supported by their super friendly and hospitable staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food at the restaurant was really excellent. The well designed lodge near Natures Valley has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with a well kept large garden with the highlight of three lilyponds. We will certainly stay there again when we are in that area.

Tranquility at it’s best


We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lily Pond Lodge. The hosts are extremely friendly and very helpful. Absolutely loved their property. So very tranquil and peaceful, you can’t help but relax. The food was exceptional as well as the staff. The surrounding area is also incredibly beautiful and we loved the hikes and the mountain biking. We would highly recommend stopping in at Lily Pond Lodge.

Zurückgekehrt zur Lilypond Lodge!

Nach mehr als 15 Jahren sind wir zurückgekehrt zur Lily Pond. Wir waren so froh, Margret und Niels, die Inhaber und Manager wieder zu treffen. Die Lodge ist noch schöner geworden. Nach unserer Zeit im Buschcamper haben wir den Luxus der großzügigen Unterkunft und der schmackhaften Dinnermenüs von Margret genossen. Die schnelle und ordentliche Reinigung hat uns wieder fit gemacht für die Zivilisation. Der Trail von Natures Valley, einem verträumten Feriendorf, zur Salt River Mündung hat uns wirklich ins Paradies geführt. Dafür sollte man sich Zeit nehmen.

The property is gorgeous and has stunning views, the restaurant food is of very high quality. The staff incl. the owners are present and are very welcoming and keen to offer local suggestions. I would for sure stay again, we loved everything!

LOVELY LOCATION< FIRST CLASS ACCOMMODATION

We loved this place. We enjoyed everything about it, from the quality accommodation to the delicious food and lovely gardens. We had a large, very pleasant room overlooking the lily pond, with comfortable bed, great shower and excellent breakfast. Super hosts, super place to stay.

A PLACE LIKE IN PARADISE

Lily Pond Country Lodge was the most beautiful place on our two weeks travel on the Garden Route in South Africa. Unfortunately, we spent only two Nights at this lodge. The service and the meals at breakfast and at dinner were excellent. A carafe with fresh orange juice on the table and so many fresh fruits for breakfast. The location is very beautiful, especially the lake with the water lily – a wonderful view while having a glass of wine. The room service opens the bed for night, placed a little chocolate and the car was cleaned every morning.
The people are always very friendly and you are welcome all the time. We felt like being in the honeymoon
You should visit definitely the Tsitsikamma National Park near Stormsriver and also Robberg Nature Reserve near Plettenberg Bay which are not too far away. The nature you can expe-rience at these places is simply amazing. But also Nature´s Valley nearby is a wonderful place whith an incredibly beach – very wide and so less people. Our journey has passed now almost one year ago but we are still keeping this experiences in mind and we will come back to South Africa once again.

NOT TO BE MISSED! THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH !!

This is by far THE BEST PLACE we've been to in SA and in general. The level of service is so high you won't believe it. The room is beautiful with gorgeous view to the pond. It was top clean with premium bedding. The in house restaurant is amazing. Food was delicious and service was perfect. The owners spend time with each guest every day asking them how was their day and what are their plans for the next days. Breakfast at tge garden was also delicious and made for order. Our car has been washed every day! To sum up: GO THERE! Great value for money and you'll have the best stay for sure! We spent 2 nights there and we were very sad to leave.
