We spent 2 nights here in November. Wonderful hosts and team. The rooms are classy and have all the extras. The pond and surroundings invite for a walk. A real hideaway! And then there is even a pool for which unfortunately we did not have time for. We enjoyed two dinners with apéros. The staff at dinner are friendly, attentive, and funny at the same time. Big thanks to both of them! 🙏🏼🙂

Absolutely outstanding place whilst we travelled with another couple on our Garden Route trip. Could not fault the lodge. Beautiful rooms and scenery and food to die for. The service is second to none and you will not be disappointed. Our evening waiters Leonardo and Rish were excellent and a credit to the team.

Spent 3 nights at the Lily Pond as part of our garden route travels . The property is a very secure hidden gem . Our room was overlooking the garden area/lily pond. The room was spacious and bed/pillows very comfortable. The pool area is lovely. The hotel isn’t very close to other properties/restaurants so we ate at the hotel on all 3 nights - we were not disappointed . The menu changed every evening and the food was excellent -the chef came to speak to each table at the end of the evening , which was a nice touch. The breakfasts were also delicious .
ALL the staff were welcoming and friendly- special shout out to Rosh & Leonardo ,our evening waiters - they were a delight - we built up a nice rapport with them. Both were very attentive & professional , whilst having fun with us . Thank you all for a lovely stay.

We were recommended the Lily Pond by a friend and were very glad that we stayed here. Beautifully serene place, with lovely architecture and gardens. The staff were welcoming and helpful and Bronwan, the manager went the extra mile, she was very warm and genuine.
The food was exceptional, the ostrich was sublime! We loved that the chef came out to make sure we were satisfied, he was great.

Very centrally located and the Tsitsikamma National Park and the town of Plettenberg Bay are only a few minutes' drive away. If you are looking for nature and the friendliness of a guest house, you will find it 100%.
The service and the food in the restaurant is superb and is second to none in South Africa.

Our stay at Lily Pond Country Lodge was marvelous! The rooms, the people, the food, the environment, a 'just like home-feeling'. Great place to stay! We would stay there again if we were in the neighbourhood.

Just spent three wonderful days at the Lily Pond. What stands out is the excellent hospitality by the Dutch owners Margret and Niels (who also live on the premises and are very much involved in running the place) and their management and staff. They are all in tune with your needs and what activities would suit you and are happy to give you tips for nice outings. We did a beautiful beach walk at Nature’s Reserve, the 5 km hike at Robberg and had a little lunch and shopping stroll at Old Nick’s.
The only drawback might be that other restaurants are rather far away but luckily there is a good restaurant at the Lily Pond. Appetizers and drinks beforehand with cocktails made by the cocktail master Roshwill and his assistent Leonardo, with a wonderful view of the lily pond. Look out for their funky haircuts!
