Kurland Drill Squad - a last-minute appeal

Posted on Wed October 10, 2018.

Here at Lilypond we're great fans of the Kurland Drill Squad - a non-profit that’s working wonders in the lives of local children. Please consider helping them with their up-coming tour to Cape Town for their championship competition!

The Crags Drill Squad is extremely excited to announce that we placed second overall in the Eastern Province competition.

We are now on our way to Cape Town for the final competition with a brand new routine and improvements in our uniforms (which is where we lost points in the provincial competition - resulting in our second place).

The children are extremely excited and fully confident that they can  win first place.

Over last weekend (6-7 October, 2018), The Jaguars, the local rugby team in The Crags (which is currently first in its league) went all out and had such fun raising R6,200 for the Drill Squad’s tour by hosting a Miss Rugby Drag Queen show.

We have now raised R31,000, which leaves us short of R4,000 for the trip to Cape Town - but we have all the faith in the world that we will be blessed with the funding for this very worthy project that involves 55 children.

Any donation, big or small makes up a meal.
